Mrs. Martin’s Grade 5/6 class enjoyed a delicious multicultural dinner for the final activity of their Country Research unit! The class had an incredible time thanks to a visit from four International students from the High School; they made it so much more enjoyable!
There was quite a collection of country information at Mrs. Martin’s Grade 5/6 class’s multicultural presentation and dinner. What I mean is that in addition to our own class country presentations, there were four students from two different countries to share information about what it is like to live in their country. Two students from Nigeria came and two others from Germany. Mrs. Martin’s class absolutely adored the students because it was incredible to learn about different countries and talk to people from a different continent! We learned so many things about Nigeria and Germany including their climate types and usual temperatures, their main sports, culture, food and geography. Mrs. Martin’s Grade 5/6 class gratefully shared their multicultural dinner with the International students and with Mrs. Esau! During the luncheon we introduced ourselves to the students and told them a little bit about ourselves and then to top it off we showed them our country project! We all enjoyed their presentations about the country they were from; they had quite a bit of information to share with us! We hope that they can come once again to visit our class… possibly for our French “Spaghetti Café” in the spring! We would love to see them all again!
With many thanks!
